Clyde Park Geelong Shiraz 2005

How ‘bout that cool change today, thank Trevor! Well, with a cool change, how about a cool climate Shiraz; the Clyde Park Geelong Shiraz 2005. Almost pitch black in the glass, the nose is loaded with plenty of everything, like pepper, licorice, raspberry, cloves and brown spices. There is a very Rhone like feel to this wine with a wonderful marriage of pepper and brown spices of nutmeg and cinnamon. The mid-palate is packed with ripe plum and tart raspberry and this is all held together with grippy fine tannins.

Another reason why I think Geelong makes the best Shiraz in Australia!
