Barely medium bodied and softly textured, the wine surfs home on a long, integrated wash of acidity. Tannins were very light and fine, so I'm not 100% sure about cellaring. I didn't find the acid obtrusive or too bright, especially after a quick decant and the wine went very well with a mixed cold platter of meats and antipasto. Sure it's very pinot noir like, but if you like that variety your money is well spent on this Best's meunier. The wine is short, lacks structure and complexity, and has a bit of heat on the palate.<br />BIG disappointment!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4805970247877385437.post-41958776291089117092011-11-29T17:05:31.303+11:002011-11-29T17:05:31.303+11:00Nabbed a bottle of this from Bottega Tasca in Lygo...Nabbed a bottle of this from Bottega Tasca in Lygon St. Delighted to find a review online as I was won over by the retailer without knowing a thing about the wine. Sounds like my money was well spent.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
